2/22 IMPERIAL PALACE, KYOTO The Imperial Palace itself. We weren't allowed to take pictures indide. And we had to take off our shoes. We were SO colled! We couldn't figure out what the Shogun did to keep warm. Then, when we saw his inner chamber, and were told that only women were allowed to attend him in that room... Our questions were answered.
